My sleep pattern these days is to sleep for 2 hours at a time.  Last night was the same as the night before.  I fell asleep around 4am and then woke up at 6am.  I like waking up that early but falling asleep so late really is getting to me.

I was able to take a nap this afternoon and guess what — I fell asleep for another 2 hours!  Oh well, at least I got some sleep but I was so groggy afterwards.  Plus I had wacky dreams.  I have recurring dreams either about planes or cars that don’t accelerate.  Either the plane has trouble getting up and staying in the air or the car just won’t move fast enough no matter how hard I press on the gas pedal.  Today I dreamt about being on a plane that was having trouble staying up in the air.  I’ll have to look later to see if there is some kind of symbolism in that kind of dream.

Last night I watched Capote on DVD with a friend of mine.  It was great and I highly recommend the movie. Philip Seymour Hoffman was fabulous and I can see why he got the academy award for best actor.  I was so drawn into the movie and the push and pull of the characters with each other.  Catherine Keener was great as Harper Lee and I always love Chris Cooper in whatever movie he has been in.

Well, Jack the cat is laying on his back so I guess it is time for me to rub his belly.
